Constitutional Lawyer and Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has explained why he deleted a tweet about President William Ruto and former Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua’s rivalry in the Mt.Kenya region.
In a statement on Sunday, November 17, Ahmednassir said he was not pushed to delete the tweet.
He explained that he was not wrong, adding that no one asked him to delete the tweet.
However, the lawyer said at times he can delete tweets to create more debates and discussions.
“When I delete a tweet, I previously posted, it isn’t because I was wrong, or I was pressured or someone pleaded with me to delete, to the contrary, I deliberately delete some tweets to create a thriving secondary market and generate more debate and discussion,” Ahmednassir said.
This comes after he was called out for deleting a tweet he posted on Saturday, November 16, regarding the ongoing political changes in the Mt.Kenya region.
Responding to one of his tweets about Moi University, X user, Diamonds DK, said Ahmednasir might delete the tweet.
He claimed that the lawyer gets scared after posting the truth about those in power.
“You will delete this post shortly… Immediately you post truth to power you get scared. A complete overhaul of management at the University is required as a quick fix,” Diamonds DK wrote.
The lawyer responded to his tweet with laughing emojis before releasing the official statement on why deletes some tweets.

Ahmednasir Advises Ruto to Focus on Nyanza & Western
In the deleted tweet, Ahmednasir opined that President Ruto should stop banking on the Mt. Kenya votes in his 2027 election plans.
The lawyer said the president should switch attention to the Western and Nyanza region, especially after the occurrence in Embu.

“In his calculations for 2027…Today is the day President William Ruto should start pivoting to Nyanza and Western and should stop the false/delusional narrative he is fed by his sidekicks from Central that Central (a) is with him like let us say 45%,” he said.
Ahmednasir said it was the same false narrative that leaders from the region used to tell former Prime Minister Raila Odinga during the 2022 elections.

Gachagua’s Effect on Mt.Kenya
He said Gachagua was Ruto’s problem in Mt.Kenya and the region has shifted from UDA after he was impeached.
“Gachagua was his problem in Central, and with him gone, Central is back. I hate when politicians refuse to smell the coffee, but today is the right time for President Ruto to know that Central Kenya imeenda kabisa and for good!” he said.
The lawyers said that Gachagua can defeat Ruto’s team if elections are held now in the region.
“Or do we organize a by-election in Kiambu to drive the point home so that Gachagua can show UDA dust?” he said.
