Kenyan Musician and businesswoman Esther Akoth alias Akothee has advised Popular Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi on how to navigate co-parenting with her ex-husband Justin Dean.

In a Sunday May 12 post, Akothee weighed in on the ongoing war between Korra and Dean over how their children should be raised since their divorce in 2022.

She recalled how Kora went viral for her flexibility, dancing at 9 months of pregnancy noting that the couple goals content Korra shared with her husband built a certain emotional relationship with their fan base.

According to the musician, the two introduced their whole life online including their children but unfortunately, like any other relationship, they broke up.

However, Akothee underscored that both Korra and Dean are toxic urging one person to be sober in order to prevent harmful instances.

She said that the ongoing war between the duo is unhealthy further calling on Dean to let Korra be.

“The only problem I have is that why are they both this Toxic? Haloo, one person must be sober or else this thing happening between the two is death. This kind of push and pull and living someone else’s life is bullshit,” Akothee said.

“Justin, I am a single mother of 5 children from different relationships, and I am much older than Kora. I would ask you in the name of God to leave this girl alone.”

Akothee Tells Korra to Embrace Peace

Similarly, the musician told Korra to calm down stating that Dean is not emotionally attached to their children just like other men as opposed to women who she noted spends double energy fighting for the kids.

She emphasized that Korra should make peace with her ex-husband because it is natural for him to be conservative of his kids.

“Men are not emotionally attached to children. I don’t say they don’t love their children, but the pain you feel while fighting for the children is double that of a man. If I were you, I would try to make peace. See, Justin has now de-harmed you, that’s men,” she said.

“My baby daddy also told me he doesn’t want to see any man post photos with his son. It’s a men thing, but it has no weight, he is just reminding you that he has shares and say over his children, oh yes, he contributed.”

Additionally, Akothee explained that Dean has the right to dictate how his children are raised especially if Korra expects him to cater for half of their responsibilities.

She maintained that the two are toxic and they both need help on parenting issues.

“I swear you both were never friends; you were dating your enemies, both of you were sleeping with an enemy,” she said.

According to the self-proclaimed president of single-mothers, co-parenting needs maturity, patience, and understanding, not violence.

Start a Dancing School

She reminded Korra to focus on raising the children and stop going after her ex-husband.

Instead, Akothee advised Korra to open a dancing school and minimize posting her children on social media.

“Justin is just carried away with entitlement to his children, continue dancing for us, even start a dancing school both online and offline we shall join. Yes, social media is toxic for all of us, but you can minimize the time for kids, maybe post when you are out with them, cooking, or taking them to school. No one will question you,” she said.

Akothee maintained that the co-parenting is endless, and Korra will gain nothing out of the disagreements and wars with the ex-husband.

“But just know, my daughter, you won’t finish this co-parenting battle. This thing is bigger than all of us. Your babies are less than 4 years. Kora, you have 14 years of crying, crawling, begging, and suffocating, and at this rate, someone amongst the two of you is going to lose it. You two behave like day and night, Sadam Hussein, Russia fight. Haloo, what is wrong Kora and Justin?

Advise to Dean

Similarly, she called out Dean for stopping Korra from posting their children on social media, saying that it is not bad compared to when she was dancing while pregnant.

“And for Justin, as a celebrity, we post our children because some of our fans connected with us because of family. Denying Kora to post her children is not okay. Maybe you would say she regulates, but don’t forget she was twerking on your lap 9 months pregnant, popped babies while dancing. Please my son, let the small girl be, she will soon wake up,” she said.

She asked Dean to allow Korra deal with the trauma adding that with time she will stop twerking on camera.

Akothee mentioned how she herself used to dance with bikinis before she dealt with parenting traumas and rose to her current level.

“I used to twerk a lot, but I realized I was dealing with some trauma, walking and shooting videos in a bikini was not a problem to me. Now that I found my purpose and hit my level of actualization, I don’t remember the last time I took a bikini photo. Give Kora time to equally collect herself, this is too much for one person in a foreign country. We love you family, we love you Kora,” she said.

Legal Case

Also, the musician’s advice comes two days after Korra launched a GoFundMe to pursue legal action and assert her parental rights.

However, Akothee warned her against this move stating that her fans are not her family members.

“As a celebrity, they look up to you, they will not do this a second time, you will still have to find ways of earning a living,” Akothee said.

The couple who got married in 2018 and divorced in 2022 have two children.
