Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino said he can vie for four political positions in the 2027 general election.
Speaking to the media, Babu Owino addressed his recent heated differences with Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.
Babu Owino explained that his differences with Governor Sakaja has nothing to do with his 2027 political ambitions.
Also, Babu Owino said he has not officially announced his ambitions to vie for the Nairobi County gubernatorial seat.
“I have four options in 2027, I can vie for president, my name is big enough to be the president of this country. I can be a deputy president, I am overqualified for that position,” he said.
Furthermore, the MP said the s can also vie for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat or even retain his Embakasi East Constituency seat.
“I have many options, I can contest in Nairobi or in all counties in Nyanza and I have Embakasi East Constituency where I can still go and contest as an MP,” said Babu Owino.

In addition, the MP explained that he is not in campaign mood acknowledging the Sakaja is the current governor.
“I want to give Sakaja time to work, I have no problem with his position, but he has to answer the questions I raise because my work is oversight,” he explained.

Additionally, the MP said he is only practicing his oversight role on how Governor Johnson Sakaja is using public money.
“My sole responsibility now is to serve my people, and this is part of it,” he said.
“I am a voter in Nairobi, and I need to know how my money is being used, I also need to be informed on how the funds of my constituents are being used,” he added.
Becoming Luo Kingpin
Babu Owino affirmed that ODM party leader Raila Odinga remains to be the undisputed kingpin of the Nyanza region and the Azimio Coalition.
The MP stated that he still resonates with Raila’s ideologies, which is why he has remained loyal and respectful to him.
“On matters of succession people are allowed to talk and mention names, but as things are Raila remains to be our king and leader,” said Babu Owino.

Further, he said he can discuss matters of succeeding Raila when he is still alive and active in politics.
“Baba (Raila) is always right, and I can never talk succession politics when he is still alive because he is my leader and that amounts to treason,” he said.
As always, Babu Owino quoted from the 48 Laws of Power which states that one should discuss the succession of a king when he is still alive.
Also, the MP said he will achieve his goals by following the plans aligned to him by God.
