Media Personality Betty Kyallo has addressed recent reports claiming that she is dating a 21-year-old university student.
Kyalo refuted the rumors claiming so on May 17, 2024, during an interview with comedian Eric Omondi on her show ‘Friday with Betty’.
The former KTN journalist was forced to clear the air following speculations from Kenyans who claimed that they had identified her anonymous boyfriend.
Betty has lately been posting photos and videos on her social media, flaunting gifts given to her by an anonymous boyfriend.
“A lot of information that people heard was wrong, the claims about him being 21 are wrong,” Betty said.
She was responding to one of the comments read by Eric Omondi from one of his fans who claimed that they schooled together with Betty’s unidentified boyfriend.

“We schooled together with the guy at Machakos boys two years ago,” read one of the comments.
Betty Kyallo Reacts on Dating a 21-year-old
Betty said she was shocked upon hearing the rumors but maintained that they were unfounded lies.
She however went on to joke about how old men are tired of showing love since they are caught up with issues such as medical conditions and family.
“Anyway, what matters is being in love,” Betty added.
On his part, Eric Omondi revealed that he also shares a 20-year age gap with his girlfriend, Lynee, with whom they have a child together.
Betty has been sharing photos and videos of her and the anonymous boyfriend along with affectionate captions expressing her love for him.

The mother of one has been keeping her alleged lover away from the limelight, but hawk-eyed netizens have strived to unveil his identity.
Rumors about her dating a 21-year-old were borne in a recent photo where she posted a snippet showing her and the boyfriend wearing matching outfits.
Many claimed that they knew the man behind the picture and identified him as a 21-year-old named Jay.
The Media personality and entrepreneur was hosting her second show since she joined Cape Media Limited to work as a news anchor for TV 47.
Betty’s Career
Kyallo’s rise in media started off at Standard Group’s KTN where she worked as an intern before being absorbed as a prime-time news anchor.
At KTN, she cemented her status as one of the celebrated media personalities as an anchor where she aired the 9pm news on Fridays dubbed the Friday Briefing.
Betty later quit KTN to join Mediamax Limited’s K24 where she aired the weekend ‘Up Close with Betty’ programme.
However, her stint at K24 was short-lived as she quit at the end of May 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kyallo started her own salon and spa business in Kilimani, Nairobi named Flair by Betty upon her exit from Mediamax.
Subsequently, she opened another beauty business – Aftershave by Flair Barbershop and Bk Closet, in mid-2021.
The media personality has also worked with Showmax who in June 2022 launched “Kyallo Kulture”, a Kenyan reality series that revolved around Betty’s lifestyle and that of her younger sisters, Mercy and Gloria Kyallo.
