Celebrated Kenyan musician and rapper Kennedy Ombima, popularly known as King Kaka, has cleared air over the alleged claims that he has broken up with his wife Nana Owiti.
King Kaka in a statement on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, through his social media account dispelled the reports which alluded that his wife Nana had relocated to the United States amid breakup rumors.
The rumors further alleged that Nana had taken away their kids and that she had indicated that King Kaka was dead while applying for a visa.
Addressing the viral claims, King Kaka noted that he was forced to clarify the matter which touches on his family and highlighted that the news was fake.
“I was not even going to address this but now because it is touching family, I have to address it. I know people get excited when it comes to content creation and they want to say things that are false. Now the whole country has picked up your fake story that even there is a death certificate and that the kids have been relocated to America,” he said.
King Kaka urged those spreading the news to be mindful stating that there are so many people involved to create the fake news.
King Kaka Addresses Breakup Claims
The rapper further stated that his wife Nana is in the country and that their children are also in the country and have since reported to school.

“Nana is in the country and the kids are in school. Yesterday they went to school and today I was with them So, I am wondering where all these rumors are coming from?” he questioned.
King Kaka expressed disbelief in the manner the fake news spread noting that he has even been receiving calls from concerned people asking him about his wife and children allegedly relocating to the US.
The celebrated rapper urged content creators to be mindful and respectful while creating content asking them to respect him, his wife and their family.
Further, King Kaka dispelled reports which alleged that he could have been faking the news as a form of “clout chasing”.
Some Kenyans speculated that Kaka could have been “clout chasing” and seeking attention probably to market his upcoming project.
Clout Chasing
King Kaka has been promoting his upcoming movie, The Monkey Business, that will be released on Friday, May 17, 2024.

He however said that clout chasing was not his thing.
“Listen guys I don’t clout chase I never clout chase especially when it comes to family neither does Nana. That’s not my style,” he said.
The couple went viral with Kenyans speculating that they have split due to the rumors.
King Kaka had earlier refused to comment on his marriage, fueling wild speculations.
Also, some Kenyans were quick to note that the musician celebrated his mum on Mother’s Day and left out Owiti which raised eyebrows among fans.
Kaka and Owiti have two children and have been in marriage for over 12 years.
