Renowned musician and entrepreneur, King Kaka, has announced the completion of his new film project dubbed ‘Monkey Business’, a series which is set to premiere on May 17, 2024.
As the founder of Kaka Empire, King Kaka has made a name for himself in the music industry and business ventures, but with ‘Monkey Business’, he takes on a new role as a writer, producer, and director.
In a social media post made on April 13, King Kaka shared the official poster of ‘Monkey Business’, expressing his dedication and passion for the project.
“(Official Poster) New Series Alert!!! Kaka Empire Films Presents ‘Monkey Business’. Worked on this project with our hearts,” said King Kaka.
The film is expected to showcase the everyday experiences that define Kenyan life, providing a unique and authentic perspective on the country’s culture and society.
Nonetheless, the announcement of ‘Monkey Business’ has generated excitement among fans, with tickets for the premiere set to go on sale on Tuesday, April 16, building anticipation for the release.

“This 17th May we premier and Tickets will be available from Tuesday. Aloooooooooo!!!Written, Produced & Directed by King Kaka,” continued the statement.

King Kaka’s new endeavor has been met with praise from industry figures and fans alike, highlighting his multitalented nature in regard to storytelling.

Additionally, the series is expected to be a significant milestone in King Kaka’s career, showcasing his creativity and vision beyond music and business.
Also, the series is expected to feature well-known personalities such as fellow artists Scar Mkadinali & Prezzo, SPM Buzz reporter Silva Kido, 10 over 10 TV host Azeezah Hashim, Media Personality Janet Mbugua among others.
King Kaka Film Projects
However, this will not be King Kaka’s first film project, his debut film, ‘Kamtupe’, premiered on July 22, 2022, receiving positive reviews and showcasing his potential as a filmmaker.
Speaking during the premier release of ‘Kamtupe’ held at Anga Imax, King Kaka said he was proud of his directorial debut and that he had always wanted to tell stories through film.

“For the past 12 years, we have watched King Kaka tell stories through music. Now we’re about to showcase his brilliant entrance into the film industry. This is major,” said the artist in a post made in 2022.
The success of ‘Kamtupe’ has set high expectations for ‘Monkey Business’, with fans eagerly awaiting the opportunity to explore the everyday experiences of Kenyan life through the lens of this award-winning artist.
