CEENET Technologies Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenneth Toroitich Kiplabat has been found dead in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

The family of the late has confirmed that Kiplabat was found dead in Nakuru County after a long week of disappearance since May 20.

“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm, as a family, that the body of our beloved brother, Ken Ceenet, has been identified after being found in Gilgil Town,” the statement read.

Kiplabat, who was associated with CEENET Technologies, was a technology entrepreneur based in Kakamega town, whose company offered software solutions, mobile application development, web design and development, database management systems, CCTV installations, and computer applications.

His disappearance on May 20 sparked concern among family members, friends, business associates, and clients, leading to widespread appeals for information that could help trace his whereabouts.

His sudden disappearance raised alarm among those close to him, and a public appeal was made on social media to report any sightings, even offering a reward of KSh 100,000.

His family, in the home area of Kiponjos Location in Marigat Ward, Baringo South Constituency, joined calls for urgent intervention from the police.

As the investigation continued, Ken’s vehicle was then discovered abandoned in the Kapkures area of Nakuru several days after he was reported missing.

The vehicle was then towed to the offices of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Nakuru as investigators began examining possible leads linked to his disappearance.

Family Appeals for Prayers as Investigations Continue

The search ended on Thursday evening after Ken’s body was discovered in Gilgil, Nakuru County. While the family has confirmed the identification of the body, authorities are yet to release a comprehensive statement detailing the circumstances surrounding his death.

The family appealed for support as it begins funeral preparations for the late Kenneth

“We ask for your prayers, support, and unity during this painful moment as we begin preparations to give him a dignified send-off. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement read.

Ken has been mourned as a young visionary entrepreneur who inspired youths. Ken used to empower youths on social media by giving them gigs to market the products.

“The news of the tragedy of our brother Ken is not only tragic but also a blow to our youth who are struggling to put their dreams into reality. He mentored many youth and embodied resilience and focus. Forever in our hearts, Ken,” said  MC Maasai on Facebook.
