President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto asked Televangelist Benny Hinn to pray for her to get a husband during the healing the nation crusade held at the Nyayo Stadium on Sunday, February 25.
In a video trending on social media, Charlene Ruto is seen whispering something to the ears of the Televangelist.
“You want me to pray for that,” Benny Hinn is heard inquiring from Charlene after listening to her request.
The Televangelist then directs the congregants to stretch their hands towards her as he begins to pray.
“Give her a husband that will fulfill that call with her. Lord, send that young man her way, that will be a strength to her and a great support to her,” said Benny Hinn.
He proceeds to asks God to support Charlene in her quest for a husband and provide her with a spouse as soon as possible.
“She cannot do this alone Lord; she is going to the battlefield to win souls and snitch souls away from the enemy’s camp. She needs a husband, and she needs him soon.
“Send him her way soon. Let him be exactly what she wants, everything she want about that husband grant it Lord in the name of Jesus,” the Pastor prayed.
Charlene Ruto Falls During Prayers
Before asking for a husband, Charlene Ruto fell to the ground while the pastor was praying for her.
“We are standing on a holy ground; the Lord asked me to go around her seven times to protect her. Lord, I dedicate her life to you, use her to touch the young people of this generation of this country,” said Benny Hinn.
“As I was asking around what did you feel?’ posed the Televangelist.
“I felt like I was being anointed for the call,” replied Charlene.
President Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto were present at the crusade.
Reactions on Social Media
The request by the president’s daughter comes a few months after it was rumored that she was dating singer Owen Mwaita alias Daddy Owen.
Therefore, Charlene’s prayer request also elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans on social media.
A section of them praised for her sincerity while others questioned where the gospel singer was.
“Charlene Ruto, you are blessed because you have been open to God, He will reward the desires of your heart. God bless you,” George Kasma an X user stated.
X user named Kenya West also advised feminists to learn from Charlene that they are incomplete without a man in their lives.

“A whole president’s daughter is looking for love, a husband, while us sons and daughters of peasants are in long and working relationships. The irony of life,” said Eduh Maks.
However, other X users also claimed that she was just seeking public attention as she aims to build her profile.
“Charlene Ruto alisema ni kama imekuwa weeks akitrend, she knows what she is doing; Lazima akuwe Topic hadi akuwe Top,” wrote Mimosa Stores.
This can be translated to “Charlene Ruto knows its been a while since she was trending, she knows what she is doing. She must be a topic of discussion until she gets to the top.”

Charlene & Daddy Owen Dating Rumors
Charlene visited Daddy Owen’s rural home in Kakamega County on December 23, 2023, fueling discussions about a possible romantic connection between the two.
However, speaking to a local radio station the gospel artist dismissed the rumors stating that they were just friends.
The artist explained that not every interaction with a woman should be interpreted as having romantic undertones.
“It’s not necessary that every time you see me with someone, they have to be more than a friend,” Owen said.
He dismissed the rumors, emphasizing that his relationship with Charlene was purely professional.
