Doris Wanja Gitonga, popularly known as ‘Wanja wa Bags’, is a Kenyan entrepreneur, content creator, and presidential aspirant for the 2027 general election.
Doris announced her candidature, affirming that she will vie for the presidency and seeks to unseat the current President, William Ruto.
According to Doris, running for the seat does not require an individual to have wealth, connections, and power; rather, it requires support from the people with a prepared mindset to work for the people.
Her declaration to run for the presidency of the Republic of Kenya has created a difference in public opinion.
However, the presidential aspirant has explained that her candidacy is supported by most people, including those who are helping her in her campaign.
Additionally, she noted that she will strive to be an example to all people who have been discouraged from doing what they need to do.
“I will be vying, many of you have doubted me, but I will stand and be the voice of those people who have been told they can not do it,” Doris affirmed her political stand.
Further, Doris clarified on the rumors that she had been paid to make the announcement, affirming that she is vying on her own accord.
According to Doris, her presidential candidature announcement was due to her need to bring changes in the governance of the country.
She has argued to the public that, instead of waiting for change and demanding intervention, they should be the change themselves.
