A businessman in Kitengela has been robbed of Ksh800,000 by unknown men, after withdrawing the cash from a bank.
Speaking to the police, the man narrated that he was driving away in his car after leaving the bank in the afternoon when he was blocked by a salon car.
Further, he revealed that two individuals wearing traffic police uniforms approached his car and interrogated him. He was questioned and accused of failing to stop after being flagged down.
Moments later four other men joined and dragged him out of his car.

Kitengela Man Narrates How Robbers Escaped
The Victim said that he was handcuffed by the unknown men and forced into a Toyota Fielder, but he declined.
Quickly, the suspected gang then ransacked his car and made away with the Ksh800,000. He reported that the men sped away towards Machakos leaving him handcuffed.
Police officers who came to the scene found him stranded and helped remove the cuffs.
However, this is not an isolated scenario as such cases have grown rampant in Nairobi and its environs with several being reported in August alone.
On August 19, a businesswoman was robbed of Ksh500,000 after withdrawing the cash from a bank in Kerugoya town of Kirinyaga County.

Businessman Robbed in Syokimau
Earlier, CCTV footage revealed how robbers made off with Ksh1.7 million belonging to a businessman from an apartment in Syokimau, Mlolongo on August 16.
The businessman was trailed from a bank along Mombasa Road to where the unknown individuals broke into his car and stole the money.
At some point, the CCTV depicts the driver getting out of the vehicle and signals two other men; one gets into the car while the other engages the driver before joining him in the vehicle.
Later, the man who was talking with the driver is seen getting out of the car and seems to be busy on the phone before returning.
