Youthful anti-government activist Kasmuel McOure on Wednesday night raised the alarm that his life was in danger.
In a statement posted on his Twitter (X) account at 11pm, the activist disclosed that he had received threats to his life.
Kasmuel, added that he was heading to the Directorate of criminal Investigations (DCI) to seek safety and security.
McOure did not provide specific details about the nature of the threats or sources but emphasized the seriousness of the situation.
“I’m not safe. I’ve received credible threats to my life. Heading to DCI Kenya right now,” read part of the statement.
Later, the Alliance high school alumni noted that he was in the company of his friends, and they had camped at Muthaiga Police Station since they could not access the DCI headquarters at night.
Kasmuel Hints of Threats to his Life
He added that they had proceeded to Central police station to record a statement and would update on progress.
“I’ve recorded the statement and if they don’t allow us to camp here, I’ll go into hiding and will update accordingly. Please pray for me and keep the faith,” he stated.

Since the advent of the anti-government protests, several abductions of activists have been reported with reports of police being involved.
Kasmuel has been on the forefront of the Gen Z led protests, pushing for better governance and accountability from the government.
Likewise, he has been a force in the protests and has used his social media platforms and media interviews to mobilize netizens to stand for their rights
His statement sparked reactions among Kenyans online as they expressed their concerns for his safety, while others seemed angered.
A user by the name Adele expressed her anger as she referred to Kasmuel as the modern-day Tom Mboya.
“Who is that threatening our new Tom Mboya the most eloquent and articulate Kasmuel MCOure? she asked.
While, concerned of his security, netizens asked him to seek company of his friends with fear of his safety if he went alone.
“Don’t go outside alone, please go in groups,” a user by the name Omega D advised.
Alliance Alumni Announces Missing Person
Alliance boys Alumni reported Kasmuel McOure (Class of 2014) popularly known as Kaskazini missing from Tuesday 25th, June 2024 at 4 Pm.

In a notice dated 26th, July,2024, the school’s old boys club asked for help from the public stating that he was last seen, around Nairobi CBD.
“We write to you seeking your urgent assistance. Our fellow Old Boy, Kasmuel McOure (Class of 2014) is missing since yesterday (25th June 2024) at 4:00 PM,” read the announcement.
Alliance boys’ alumni called on anyone with information however minimal it may be of his whereabouts to share through their social media platforms.
Kasmuel raised concerns hours to the planned protests on Thursday, July 18 across the country. Gen Z protesters had threatened to gather at Uhuru Park.
Following the plan, Acting Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja banned protests within Nairobi CBD indefinitely.
