Google Trends has released its 2023 list of top 10 most searched Kenyan personalities and Mathe wa Ngara, formally known as Nancy Kigunzu, is among those at the bottom of the list.
The search engine giant’s ranking placed the 54-year-old woman at position 10.
Notably, Mathe wa Ngara first made headlines in August 2023, when officers from the Directorate of Criminal investigations (DCI) arrested her among others.
Also, DCI seized 25 sacks and Ksh13 million during a sting operation that landed the woman behind bars.
Additionally, the police also disclosed that they had recovered cakes and sweets suspected to have been made using narcotics.

Others at the Bottom of the Google Most Search List
At the same time, Google Trends ranked Chief Justice Martha Koome at the ninth position in the most searched personalities.
Some of the searches included “Martha Koome accident, is Martha Koome alive, Martha Koome road accident, and Martha Koome in hospital.”
Also, the report detailed that the searches were mostly from Gitaru, Meru, Kitale, Kisumu Machakos locations in Kenya.
Number eight on the list was former Independent Electoral and boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Some of the top searches about Chebukati included’ “is Wafula Chebukati alive, Wafula Chebukati sickness, Chebukati Germany and Chebukati Muchelule panel.”
In addition, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i was number seven on the Google Trends most searched Kenyan personalities list.
Kenyan Personalities at the Top
On the flip side, the report indicated that Politician Millicent Omanga was the most searched Kenyan on Google in 2023.
Notably, the most searched for content about Omanga was a viral video of her.
Also, Pastor Ezekiel Odero came in second as the most searched Kenyan, with many searching for details of his arrest and connection with controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie.
Additionally, musician DJ Fatxo was the third most searched Kenyan. On the list many were searching for information about his connection to the death of his friend.
