The Court has ruled in favor of the prosecution, to have Mathe Wa Ngara spend five more days in jail, to allow them conduct investigations.
In a ruling at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Court on 23 August, the presiding Magistrate Njeri Thuku stated that the application to have Endoveria Kigunzu alias Mathe Wa Ngara stay in police custody was merited.
“Having gone through the submissions by both parties, I find that the prosecution application to detain the respondent is merited.

Arrest of Mathe Wa Ngara
Mathe Wa Ngara was arrested on 21 August by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The DCI officers from the Anti-narcotics Unit while working closely with officers from the Forensics and Cyber Crimes Units tracked Mathe wa Ngara who is alleged to be the owner of Sh13.4 million cash and a consignment of 26 gunny bags full of cannabis obtained by the police.
Furthermore, her arrest came after she called Teresia Wanjiku who was mistakenly arrested to apologize on Sunday, in a dare to law enforcement.
When presented in court on August 21, her lawyer Danstan Omari requested the court to issue an injunction pending a request for anticipatory bail that is meant to block arrest of a suspect.
Furthermore, Lawyer Ombeta urged the court to release their client on bail saying she is ready to deposit her travel documents in court hence she is not a flight risk.
