Content creator Kevin Kinuthia has broken the silence after a fresh debate arose regarding his appearance and cross-dressing during the 10-year concert of the Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami.
In a TikTok video shared on the night of August 2, the content creator emphasized that he is fine with his appearance.
Further, in his video, he captioned it, noting that ‘she was beautiful, while showing off his appearance.
“Look at the girl, Baby girl is looking beautiful,” Kelvin Kinuthia stated.
Kinuthia’s address to the criticism of his appearance follows the concern raised by Nairobi County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Customer Engagement Geoffrey Mosiria.
The exchange between the content creator and Mosiria has ignited widespread discussion on TikTok and social media platforms.
Kenyans have expressed divided opinions over whether Kinuthia’s dressing style should be viewed as entertainment or as a personal expression above social influence.

Mosiria on Kevin Kinuthia’s Identity
Clarification from Kinuthia followed comments by Mosiria, who questioned Kinuthia’s decision to attend Nadia Mukami’s event dressed in a figure-hugging outfit.
Additionally, the content creator was challenged to publicly explain whether his appearance was solely part of content creation, noting that Kinuthia’s cross-dressing was negatively influencing a younger audience.
“We have been thinking it is just content creation, but your nails are those of a woman, your hair is styled like a woman’s, and your walking style is that of a woman. Is this content for real? Please tell us the truth. What are you teaching our sons? Are you teaching them that they can dress like women?” Mosiria questioned Kevin Kinuthia.
Responding to the online debates, the digital creator joined in, stating that he had no idea whether it was him hiding inside the content or the content was hiding behind him.
Further, Kinuthia also embraced his feminine online persona, describing himself as a “baby girl” while confidently showing off his appearance.
Mixed Public Reactions to Kinuthia’s Cross-Dressing Content
Many social media users have defended Kinuthia, arguing that he has consistently presented himself in the same manner.
In addition, some members of the public argued that for years Kinuthia has used his fashion choices as part of the entertainment brand, making him one of Kenya’s most recognizable digital creators.
Others praised the influencer for responding with humor instead of engaging in a heated public confrontation.
According to the public, Kinuthia’s light-hearted reaction to public criticism has always helped defuse an increasingly polarizing discussion.
However, another section of users supported Mosiria’s concerns, arguing that influencers with large followings should be mindful of the messages their content sends to younger audiences.
Further, some questioned whether content creation should be used to explain behavior that repeatedly sparks public controversy.
