The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) sets cut-off points for students seeking admission into the Bachelor of Commerce degree program.

The cut-off points will be used to place candidates who sat the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations into degree programs for the 2025/2026 academic year.

These cut-off points represent the minimum cluster points attained by the last student admitted to each program during the 2024 KUCCPS placement cycle.

They vary from year to year depending on factors such as demand for a specific course, the capacity of institutions, and the overall performance of candidates in the national examinations.

However, meeting the cut-off point does not automatically guarantee placement, as competition and program capacity are also considered in the selection process.

Bachelor of Commerce Degree Programme

The Bachelor of Commerce program is a comprehensive business program designed to equip students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in a dynamic business environment.

It also offers various specialization options, including Human Resource Management and Marketing, allowing students to tailor their studies to specific career paths.

With a blend of core business subjects and specialized courses, the program prepares graduates for diverse roles in the corporate sector, entrepreneurship, and public service.

The program requires applicants to have a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent, with at least a C in Mathematics and English, depending g on the University.

Candidates with an Advanced Level qualification must have at least two principal passes and a credit pass in Mathematics at ‘O’ Level.

Diploma holders in relevant fields from recognized and accredited institutions are also eligible. Applicants with CPA/CPS Part II or its equivalent must have attained at least a mean grade of C (plain) at KCSE, including a C (plain) in Mathematics and English.

In addition, candidates with a mean grade of C- (minus) at KCSE may qualify if they have progressed from certificate to diploma level at any accredited institution.
