LSK Calls for Documentation
In response to the reports, LSK President Faith Odhiambo has asked residents to come forward with details of those missing for legal intervention.
“Please record, post, and share details: Name, Location, Time. We remain vigilant. Let justice be our shield and defender!” she added.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the abductions.
Meanwhile, local leaders and elders, while speaking to the press, apologized to the head of the state for the heckling.
“What happened to the president when he came to visit was not good. There is no reason why the leader of this country should be heckled. Some of these young people are drunkards and some of them are from other counties
“I want to send my apologies to the President. We are very sorry because that was a mistake that we will correct. It will never happen again,” said Shariff, a Somali elder.
