Makini School is a prestigious private educational institution in Kenya, offering both the Kenyan CBC curriculum and the British Cambridge curriculum.

Started in 1978, the school began as Riara Gardens Academy with just eight nursery students and has grown to have multiple campuses in Ngong Road and State House Avenue in Nairobi, and Migosi and Kisumu City in Kisumu.

Acquired by Scholé International in 2018 and part of the ADvTECH Group, Makini is recognized for its commitment to academic excellence and global educational standards.

Makini Preschool – Ngong Road

Makini Preschool on Ngong Road is a leading early childhood education center in Nairobi, designed to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 6 years. 

It follows the Kenyan CBC curriculum, with a strong emphasis on holistic development, play-based learning, and pastoral care.

Makini Primary School – Ngong Road Campus

Makini Primary School on Ngong Road is a flagship campus offering Grade 1 to Grade 8 education under the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The school integrates modern technology, such as projectors and Wi-Fi, to enhance ICT, STEM, and robotics education.

Makini Cambridge School – Ngong Road

Makini Cambridge School, located on Ngong Road in Nairobi, is a premier international school offering the British Cambridge Curriculum from Early Years through to IGCSE (Year 11).

It is a registered Cambridge Assessment Centre and a member of the Kenya Association of International Schools (KAIS).

The school uses ADvLEARN Platform, an AI-powered adaptive learning system that personalizes content based on each student’s strengths and gaps.

Makini Junior School – Ngong Road

Makini Junior School on Ngong Road is a private junior secondary school offering Grades 7 to 9 under the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

The classrooms are equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi to support digital learning, STEM, and robotics.

Teachers are trained in CBC, and many have contributed to national instructional materials.

Makini Statehouse Junior Academy

Makini Statehouse Junior Academy is a private junior school located in the serene and secure Statehouse Avenue neighbourhood in Nairobi. 

It offers a CBC-based curriculum from Playgroup to Grade 5, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, character development, and personalized learning.

The curriculum focuses on Life skills, fine & gross motor skills like modelling and painting, social etiquette, language & Math.

Kisumu Campuses

Makini Junior School – Migosi

Makini Junior School Migosi is a vibrant and innovative campus located along Kisumu-Kakamega Road in Migosi, Kisumu. 

It offers early years and primary education under the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), with a strong focus on digital learning, life skills, and holistic development.

Lessons are enhanced with videos, songs, virtual games, and live worksheets, with parental involvement in home learning encouraged.

The environment is safe and child-friendly, with digital tools and learning aids being heavily used in teaching by the teachers.

Makini School – Kisumu City (Nyerere Road)

Makini School Kisumu City is the newest campus in the Makini network, located along Nyerere Road within the spacious grounds of the Shree Lohana Mahajan property. 

It offers both Primary (Grades 1–6) and Junior Secondary (Grades 7–9) education under the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
