South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighter party leader Julius Malema is in Kenya months after clashing with Kenya’s opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Malema, a vocal politician, arrived in Kenya on the night of November 8 and is expected to attend the launch of the Pan African Institute inauguration at Lukenya University, Makueni County.
Likewise, the Institute’s Chairman Prof. PLO Lumumba will host the event.
According to the controversial leader, being in Kenya is more of home and his excited to be in the country.
“Well Nairobi feels home, you don’t feel anything less than excitement when at home,” said Malema in an interview upon his arrival.
Malema on Royal Visit to Kenya
Days after the British Monarch visited Kenya, Malema stated that the trip fell short of expectations.
He argued that the United Kingdom ought to give back to Kenya in trillions and that an apology by word of mouth was not enough.
“Well, someone told me that it rained after that, so I am happy that all those sins that he left here was washed away,” stated Malema.
In addition, Malema stated the British visit in the country was not worth it without reparations to Kenyans.
“The British know well what they did to Kenyan people, and they have no business putting their foot here except that they should pay reparations to the Kenyans,” noted Malema.
Likewise, the activist stated that Kenyans deserve a genuine apology, and that the Monarch’s visit was of no significance as Kenyan wounds were still unhealed.
“That is the only genuine apology we will accept from the British, we don’t think that his visit is of any significance in the development of Kenya and the African Continent,”
Further adding that unless the British can commit the pounds to try and heal the deep wounds that they left in Kenyans is when their apology shall be accepted.
