Swarup Mishra, proprietor of Mediheal Hospitals is on the brink of surrendering ownership of properties to auctioneers due to unpaid rent.
The auction, scheduled for Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, outside the Eldoret Post Office at 11:00 AM, is set to include valuable land parcels owned by the Mediheal Group Limited.
According to a statement from JA Jomuki Auctioneers, the properties listed for auction include a parcel of land measuring 0.2223 acres within the Blossom Area, Kiambaa-Kesses Division, land parcels totaling 10.0, 30.6, and 10.0 acres at Ngeria Centre, land measuring 1.076 acres in the Elgon View-Greenvale Area and land measuring 1.086 acres also located in the Elgon View-Greenvale Area.
Mediheal Auction Set
These properties, registered under LR numbers and situated in various areas around Eldoret, belong to the Mediheal Group Limited, owned by Swarup Ranjan Mishra and Pallavi Jodhpur Rajasthan.
The auction is set to be conducted by JA Jomuki Auctioneers, acting on instructions from the client.
In their statement, they pointed out the importance of interested bidders inspecting the properties beforehand to verify details independently.
“All Interested bidders are requested to view the property and verify the details for themselves as these are not warranted by the Auctioneers or the principals.” stated JA Jomuki Auctioneers.

Additionally, the sale is subject to reserve price, land board control consent, and other overriding interests where applicable.
To participate in the auction, JA Jomuki Auctioneers states that potential buyers are required to pay a refundable fee of Kshs. 100,000 to obtain bidding numbers.
Upon successful bidding, a 25% deposit in cash or banker’s cheque is due immediately, with the balance payable within 90 days from the date of the auction.
Once renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and quality care, the hospital now stands on the brink of closure, grappling with unpaid bills, dwindling patient numbers, and withdrawal of medical partnerships.
Dr. Swarup Mishra and Dr. Palavi Mishra, the brains behind the Mediheal Group, have been confronted with mounting obstacles since Dr. Mishra lost his parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Election.
Mediheal Hospital Financial Woes
The hospital’s woes intensified in 2023 when several medical insurance firms abruptly terminated their partnerships, leading to decline in revenue.

Dr. Palavi Mishra, while addressing members of the Parliamentary Health Committee during a fact-finding tour, revealed the dire situation faced by the hospital.
She disclosed that the hospital had been forced to terminate the employment of 2,000 staff members due to financial constraints, with some former employees resorting to legal action over unpaid wages.
Consequently, National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), she said, owed Mediheal Sh51 million and had paid out claims of more than Sh1.2 billion over the years.
