How fall out cost him seat
In the 2022 elections, Mishra was among the MPs who opted to vie on an independent ticket in the North Rift region.
A fallout between him and President Ruto’s camp that led UDA campaigns saw him to go the independent way in what was seen as a bold move.
However, the UDA wave in the region swept the majority seats, leaving him and a group of rebel MPs as casualties.
In his contest, Mishra fell to Julius Rutto who vied on a UDA ticket.
Addressing a gathering in early September 2022, Mishra termed his decision to run on an intendent ticket a mistake and vowed to correct himself.
