It was a special day for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s family as their daughter Maryanne Mudavadi tied the knot with her lover.
In a ceremony marked with pomp and color, family and friends gathered at the St. Austin Catholic Church in Nairobi to witness the great moment of Maryanne and her love walked down the aisle and took vows.
The venue was decorated with the ceremony’s theme colors of white and pink to set the perfect mood and an ambience denoting the love in the air.
In addition, the guests gracing the ceremony further illuminated the wedding with their outfits mainly dominated by colors pink, black and white.
On his part, Prime CS Mudavadi donned a black suit, a white shirt and complemented it with a purple tie and floral pocket square.
Moreover, the bride’s mother, Tessie Mudavadi was also conspicuous as she stepped out in her perfectly fitting dress and a blend of gold-coated jewelry to complement it.
Politicians and leaders grace wedding
Among the prominent figures at the venue included Cabinet Secretaries Moses Kuria (Public Service), Kipchumba Murkomen (Transport), Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Kimani Ichung’wah, and President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet.
Also present were Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, and Cooperatives CS Simon Chelugui.
Uncle Moody, Kenya’s former Vice President, was present.

The wedding came two months after the couple held a traditional wedding in Mululu, Vihiga County.
When Mudavadi’s daughter shook Bomas
In the run up to the 2022 general elections, Maryanne Mudavadi was thrust into the limelight after making a passionate speech during the endorsement of his father as the flag bearer of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party.
In the Bomas event described by Muadavdi as the earthquake moment, Maryanne joined the ANC delegates in passionately endorsing Muadavadi, clips of which later went viral on social media.
At the time, Maryanne was asked to introduce Muadavadi to the podium and she did it passionately to win the attention of everybody in the hall and those following the event from home.

In her confident tone, she referred to her father as the “next president of Kenya” and went on to describe some of the traits she thought made her father the most suitable leader for Kenya.
“He is an inspiration for both the young and old leaders and a role model to many, considering all the sacrifices my dad has made for this country due to his extremely selfless nature kind heart and integrity I stand here very proud to say this is my dad,” she stated.
Maryanne’s academic journey
In terms of her academic background, she holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.
In addition, Maryanne has a master’s in human resource management from the same university.
