NCBA said the board congratulated Davis, Bosman and Kung’u on their appointments and expressed confidence in their contribution to the group’s future growth and governance.
“The Board congratulates Michael, Anél and Esther on their appointments and looks forward to their contribution to the continued growth and governance of NCBA Group PLC,” the statement read.
The announcement was issued on behalf of the board by Group Managing Director John Gachora.
The appointments come a day after Nedbank Group Limited completed the acquisition of roughly 66 per cent of NCBA Group PLC, becoming the lender’s controlling shareholder and securing representation on the board.
Michael Howard Davis and Anél Bosman’s appointment as non-executive directors are among the first governance changes arising from the deal, strengthening board representation from Nedbank and deepening ties between the two banking groups.
