Pioneer Girls’ School has announced that it remains fully operational and has not relocated, following a recent court order that stayed a court ruling by the Environment and Land Court regarding a land row with Delmonte Kenya Ltd.
In a statement issued on Friday, December 12, 2025, Pioneer’s Board of Trustees confirmed that operations continue as usual, contrary to a relocation notice issued by Del Monte Kenya Limited on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
“Therefore, the Board of PIONEER GIRLS SCHOOL notifies the Public, Students, Parents, the Parents Teachers Association, and all concerned Stakeholders that the PIONEER GIRLS SCHOOL HAS NOT MOVED AND IS OPERATIONAL AS BEFORE,” read part of the statement.
The school urged parents, students, the Parents and Teachers Association, and all stakeholders to ignore the “misleading notice” and continue normal engagement with the school.
“Please IGNORE the purported Public Notice issued by Del Monte Kenya Limited on 10th December 2025 and published in the Daily Nation and Standard Newspaper on 11th December 2025.”
Court Stay Validates Pioneer Girls’ School Operations
The Environment and Land Court, in Case No. 1245 of 2015, issued a stay order on December 11, 2025, halting the effect of a previous decree dated July 10, 2025.
The Board of Pioneer Girls School has since explained that the school has not moved and remains fully operational.

In its ruling, the Land and Environment Court issued a penal notice, warning that any disobedience or failure to comply with the stay order would result in legal consequences for those who ignore it.
“Any disobedience or non-observance of the order of the court will result in penal consequences to any person disobeying it,” the school noted.
Pioneer Girls’ School Land Dispute with Del Monte Kenya
The land dispute between Pioneer School and Del Monte Kenya started in 2015.
In September 2013, Del Monte leased about 75 acres to Goshen Gardens Ltd. According to court documents, Goshen defaulted, stopped making payments in February 2015, and transferred the possession to Pioneer Girls School without Del Monte’s approval.
In April 2015, Goshen sued Del Monte over lease fraud. Del Monte, in response, counter-sued for trespass and eviction as Pioneer began operating the school.
Although both sides filed multiple cases, Pioneer School began renovations and student enrollment, prompting court orders to restrain their activities, which they challenged.
