The Police allegedly raided activist Booker Omolle’s home on September 11, just days after he was barred from travelling to Beijing, China.
Speaking to members of the press at Central Police Station, Nairobi, Booker explained that the raid occurred while he was at the police station.
“It is important to note that the police have been harassing me, and today, while we were at the Central Police Station, another group of officers broke into my house,” Booker alleged.
Booker has attributed his troubles to his involvement in anti-government activism.
“We want to say that the Communist Party of Kenya, patriotic Kenyans, and I will not give in to this state intimidation,” Booker said.
He also urged the State to focus its resources on more pressing issues instead of targeting activists.
