Three people were found dead on Tuesday, May 10 in a hotel in Pipeline Nairobi, in what the police suspect to be a suicide pact.
The trio who included two men and a woman booked a single room in the hotel on Monday, May 9.
Then men who were identified as Phillip Murefu Simiyu, 63, Boniface Muchiri, 28, and an unidentified lady were found lying lifeless in their room while holding each other by their shoulders with their lips firmly held together.
According to police records, Mr Muchiri is the one who booked the trio to the hotel room at around 12:35 am on Monday, May 9.
It was until the victims failed to check out the next morning, that the room attendant at the hotel felt something was wrong. She tried knocking at their door severally to no response and after 2pm she reported to her boss about the situation.
The hotel boss called Kware Police Station for assistance. And when the police arrived, the room was still locked from the inside.
“Entry to the room was gained through breaking of door panels and lifeless bodies of two males and a female were found lying on the bed holding each other from the shoulders and their lips held firmly to each other,” the police report said.
Moreover, this case was strange because the police noted no signs of struggle or injuries inflicted on the victims.
However, the police retrieved two identity cards bearing the names of Mr Muchiri and Mr Simiyu upon searching the room.
The victims bodies were taken to city mortuary awaiting post-mortem as police try to find out the mystery behind the deaths.
