The Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) has announced the closure of Langata Road on Saturday, March 16, 2024- among four other roads to give space for the upcoming 17th edition of the Run for the Bibleless.
In an announcement on Thursday, March 14, BTL said the stretch from Carnivore Grounds to the Nyayo Stadium Roundabout will be partially closed from 7: 30a.m on one side.
According to the notice, traffic along the Mai Mahiu Road, Muhoho Avenue, Kiganjo Avenue, and part of Mombasa Road from the South C Flyover will also be affected.
The run will also be held simultaneously in Nakuru and Eldoret towns.
“Motorists who wish to access Langata Road from Mombasa Road are requested to use the Southern Bypass, using the exit at the Ole Sereni Hotel,” read another part of the notice.

About Run for the Bibleless 2024
While announcing the Run in January 2024, BTL urged residents in the named towns to register and participate in the Run.
The registrations are done at the BTL Centres in Upper Hill, Ruiru, AGC Lakeview Nakuru, Reformed Church Eldoret, and at the Keswick Bookshops in Nairobi.
Adults will get a T-shirt for KSh 1,500 and children KSh 1,000 after registration, according to the organizers.

KURA Announces Closure of the James Gichuru Road
Similarly, the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) announced traffic disruptions along the James Gichuru Road as from 14th- 17th March 2024.
In a notice on March 13, KURA explained that the road will be closed during night hours due to ongoing construction works in the area.
“We wish to notify the General Public that there will be Traffic disruption along James Gichuru Road from 14th- 17th March 2024 (Night Hours) so as to allow the Contractor to improve the road,” the notice read.
“We urge Motorists using that route to exercise caution as we endeavor to Transform Urban Mobility.”
