Traffic Snarl Up as Another Body Discovered Under Thika Road Bridge

The body of an unidentified male has been discovered under a bridge along the busy Thika Road near Ruiru, causing a significant traffic snarl-up.

According to preliminary reports, the lifeless body, believed to belong to a youth, was spotted floating beneath the bridge opposite Astro Petrol Station on Wednesday, January 15.

In videos shared online, a well-wisher proceeds to the pool of water under the bridge to pull out the body of the man, dressed in a red sweater and black shorts, with his legs left bare.

Further, the discovery drew a crowd of onlookers, intensifying the traffic congestion along the highway.

Some of the residents had also started protesting along the road claiming that the unidentified man must have been killed by the state.

Reports on Traffic Snarl Up

As of this report, police and emergency responders had not yet arrived at the scene.

The traffic snarl-up has been reported to stretch from the scene all the way to Kimbo for motorists heading toward Nairobi.

Commuters have expressed frustration as the snarl-up worsens with no immediate action from authorities to clear the area or direct traffic.

This incident has reignited concerns over the safety of the youth across the country and state abductions reported in various counties.

Moreover, residents are calling on law enforcement and relevant agencies to respond promptly to emergencies to prevent such occurrences from paralyzing traffic and causing further distress to road users.

Further details on the identity of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear as investigations are yet to begin.
