Kenyan Nanny who went viral after her video leaving Lebanon has spoken for the first time recounting her moments with the Lebanese bosses and reasons behind choosing to work in the gulf country.
Rossie who hails from Siaya County, drew widespread attention following the viral videos of her emotional farewell to her employer and their children at a Lebanese airport.
On December 6, 2023, Rossie who was featured in an interview, broke the silence as she narrated her emotional experiences away from home.
According to her, she opted to proceed to Lebanon as a domestic worker because of her failed marriage.
Kenyan Nanny Recounts Failed Marriage
After her failed marriage, she had to find an alternative of taking care of her three children and an opportunity in the Gulf country came right on time.

“I was in a marriage and after it was not working out, I decided to go and look for a greener pasture so as to stabilize the life of my kids,” said Rosie.
On the other hand, now an internet sensation, Rosie revealed she felt at home and that her employer treated her well with their children calling her mom, a feeling she describes as an amazing moment.
“Leaving the kids that I have been living with for 2 years and they were treating me as a parent was not easy. I felt like I was at home, the only difference was that I was being paid,” recounted Rosie.
Going Back to Lebanon
Similarly, Rossie revealed her plan to head back to Lebanon and take care of the children again.
“I will work with them for some time maybe. I will see what to do. I will have to be there for the kids at least for them to grow a bit,” said Rosie.
Notably, Rosie went viral with a touching farewell as she left her job in Lebanon to return home.
Her employer and the entire family also gave her a heartwarming sendoff.
In a TikTok video shared by the children’s parents, Maria and Cataleya, the airport witnessed an emotional standstill as the twins, unwilling to let Rosie go, bid her a tearful farewell.
“Thank you, Rosie, for caring for my babies like they’re yours,” said Rosie’s boss.

Likewise, days before her departure, the family celebrated Rosie’s birthday with a lavish party, underscoring the close bond they shared.
The father, full of gratitude, thanked her daughter for the support and encouraged her to go back to Lebanon for work.
“Thank you so much. You are a great person, and you are part of our family. We can’t survive without you.”
