Nairobi’s Wilson Airport has won the regional airport of the year award at the 2023 Aviators Africa Towers brand category.
In a statement on Thursday, October 5, Kenya Airport Authority (KAA) announced that Wilson Airport, received the award after warding off competition from regional airports including the Kimberly Airport in South Africa.
In addition, KAA announced its excitement with the honor of becoming the best in the region despite the stiff competition.
“We are thrilled to announce that Wilson Airport has been honored with the prestigious Regional Airport of the Year Award at this year’s Aviators Africa Tower Awards,” KAA noted in a statement.
“Wilson Airport outshone the Kimberly Airport in South Africa, Kumasi Airport in Ghana, and Uyo Airport in Nigeria, in the Brand category,” the statement read.
Moreover, the Award ceremony took place on September 29 during the African Sustainability Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to KAA, the victory highlighted the dedication to ensuring excellence in the aviation sector.

“This victory highlights our unwavering dedication to excellence,” read the KAA statement in part.
