23-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Assaulting Husband Over Unpaid Bills

Police in Buruburu, Nairobi are holding a 23-year-old woman after she allegedly assaulted her husband for failing to settle house bills 

Police reports indicate that Shantel Mutheu badly beat 33-year-old Kennedy Oshuka after a disagreement at their home over unpaid bills. 

The scuffle attracted the attention of a neighbour who found the couple fighting and rescued Oshuka.  

Oshuka bled profusely from the assault. 

“The neighbour told the police that he heard noise coming from house number 11 belonging to Kennedy aged 33”.

“He rushed to the scene and found the two fighting and Oshuka profusely bleeding,” a police report seen by The Kenya Times reads in part. 

The victim was rushed to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he is currently admitted in serious condition. 

The suspect was placed in custody as police continue with investigations into the incident. 

Preliminary investigations, however, indicate that the woman got violent after learning that the lover had not settled the pending bills and started breaking windows.
