The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has unmasked a prime suspect in the murder of former Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Erick Maigo.
In a statement on Friday, September 22, DCI stated that they recovered the clothes that were believed to have been worn by the main suspect during the murder.
According to the detectives, the clothes, a red checkered shirt and a grey pair of animal-print pants were found in a wooden shack in Bombolulu village in Kibera.
Moreover, the detectives have appealed to members of the public to share any more information on the whereabouts of the suspect to aid in her apprehension.
“She is said to have sat her KCPE examination at the Dagoretti approved school between 2021 and 2022.
“The suspect who has since been identified as Ann Adhiambo alias Nut, is currently on the run and is believed to be between 15 to 17 years old,” the statement read in part.

How DCI Exposed the Suspect
Earlier on Thursday, September 21, DCI revealed photos of the suspect showing her leaving the apartment where the former Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Erick Maigo was found murdered.
The woman, who was smiling scaled a security wall, was captured leaving Maigo’s residence at Woodley Annex after escaping through the back door.
“As detectives burn the midnight oil to arrest the female suspect, members of the public are requested to volunteer any information that may lead to his immediate arrest,” the DCI statement added.

Erick Maigo’s Murder
Erick Maigo was reported dead on Thursday, September 14 after police officers discovered his body lying next to two kitchen knives that had the same sets of fingerprints.
Further, the police detailed that Maigo had been stabbed 25 times on the neck, chest, face and other parts of his body.
On Wednesday, September 20, detectives released a CCTV footage that was retrieved from a popular entertainment club opened along Ngong Road linking three women to the case.
Additionally, an analysis of the Maigo’s phone records and determined that he had sent Ksh650 to one of the women on the day of his death.
