Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident in which a motorist lost Sh400,000 to carjackers.
The motorist also claims to have lost three cameras, six laptops and four mobile phones in the carjacking incident.
According to a report at Karen police station, the motorist says robbers held him at gunpoint.
Calvin Kirochi claims while driving a salon car along Waiyaki Way on Tuesday night two motorcycles blocked him near Kempisky Hotel.
One of the pillion passengers alighted and ordered him to open the passenger door at gun point.

They later commandeered him to drive towards Thika Road before branching into the La Mada Hotel area.
Two more gunmen joined his car and tied his hands before bundling him to the back seat and drove off up to Karen.
They latter abandoned him in Karen on Wednesday morning.
Police say the gang seems to have had prior information about the victim and efforts to get them are ongoing.
No arrest or recovery has been made so far.
In the recent past, incidents of carjacking targeting motorists in upmarket neighborhoods have been on the rise in Nairobi.
