Radio presenter Rachel Muthoni, popularly known as Mwalimu Rachel has quit NRG radio after a six-year stint at the media house.
While sharing news of her resignation, Rachel acknowledged the period she has worked at the urban radio station further informing her fans that she would be back on air.
Mwalimu Rachel also extended the assurance to her clients to watch out for her next phase in the media space.
“The time has come for me to say goodbye to NRG Radio, but I shall return to the airwaves soon, God willing,” the presenter revealed.
“Indeed, it is true that I have resigned from NRG radio. It has been an incredible journey of 6 years and I’m grateful for my time there.”
The radio host further expressed her excitement for the next phase, noting that she would make public her new place of work.
“Looking forward while I bid my colleagues at the NRG radio, I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter in my career, I look forward to announcing my new place of work and embarking on this exciting journey,” Rachel shared.
During her time at the media house, Mwalimu Rachel hosted an evening show dubbed NRG Transit with popular DJ Exclusive.

Mwalimu Rachel Joins Radio Africa Group
Radio Africa Group Operating Officer, Martin Khafafa had revealed that the former NRG host will be joining their media house.
In an interview with media personality Kalondu Musymi, Khafafa shared that Mwalimu Rachel had accepted a bid at the Westlands area-based media house.
“We are excited at the opportunity we are going to give her to join Radio Africa Group which is the home of the country’s best radio talent,” he shared.
“We will give her maximum support and obviously audience on socials are excited about a prospect of her joining. We look forward to serving our audience and advertisers with another great acquisition at Radio Africa.”

The station’s operating director further shared that Radio Africa group has nurtured talents for various media stars like, Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King’ang’i.
Mwalimu Rachel is a Kenyan radio host, event emcee, talent manager, motivational speaker, voice over artist and also entrepreneur.
She also served as the manager of sailors Gang; a Kenyan music group known for their Gengetone releases.
Rachel is also the CEO of Mwalimu Rachel Experience (MRX) Media Limited.
