Google has launched the Gemini Pro Plan, an advanced AI tool (Google AI Pro), in Kenya, offering it free for one year to College and University students.

The advanced AI model was launched at the Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi on Wednesday, November 11, 2025.

The tool aims to equip the next generation with foundational AI skills, preparing them to thrive both in the classroom and in the future workforce.

Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy in Kenya, William Kabogo, who was the Chief Guest at the unveiling of the AI model, stated that the initiative is a pivotal step that aligns perfectly with Kenya’s strategic vision.
