Babu Owino Breaks Silence on Vying for Presidency in 2027

The Embakasi East member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino has broken the silence on vying for the presidency sometime in future with Ndindi Nyoro MP for Kiharu constituency in Murang’a county as his running mate.

In a cryptic statement in his social media post, the MP urged all Kenyans to back them stating that they will be there no matter what.

“Don’t be cheated, this is where the future is. All Kenyans are advised to follow the duo. We will be there no matter what. Big things coming up,” Babu Owino’s statement read in part.

Moreover, the statement was accompanied by a photo of the duo shaking hands in affirmation of their aspiration in the forthcoming elections to contest for the top seat in the country’s leadership.

Reactions From Kenyans Babu Owino Statement

The statement has drawn a torrent of reactions from the netizens with the majority aligning with their thought while a few yet lingered with doubts.

Gael Aluda one of the netizens congratulated the duo noting that it is a good duo for President and Deputy President respectively.

“If you say we should move left, we all go left. We are behind you, Leader,” Mohammed Nicholas stated.

Consequently, another netizen Dr Kanamba affirmed that the duo is good for the position.

Further, he is convicted and believes the two are the change that Kenya needs and promises to sail together with them. Also, Yomo, a social media user, said that he sees a brighter future for our generation and generations to come.

On the contrary, other netizens offered general criticism remarking that politicians are all the same and no one is good enough to be looked up to.

On the same aspiration, James advised that they should support Okiya Omtatah by joining forces with him and making Kenya great.

The 2027 Presidential Race

As the 2027 elections draw nigh, the presidential seat is drawing many aspirants who want to dethrone President William Ruto with a view of propelling the country into greatness and prosperity.

Moreover, in other news, The Kenya Times provided the 2027 line-up of candidates who have declared to vie against Ruto.

The list contained Kalonzo Musyoka who has pledged not to back any other candidate as he has done in the previous elections.

Adding to the list we have Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah, the former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, and Martha Karua the Narc-Kenya party leader.

Additionally, others include activist Morara Kebaso the leader of the Inject Party of Kenya, and Eugene Wamalwa, the Democratic Action Party of Kenya.
