Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo claims Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has schizophrenic fear of any dialogue.
Appearing on Spice FM on Wednesday, July 26, the Rarieda lawmaker said the DP fears any discussion that may put them in jeopardy in future.
“I get the sense that there are those who like the Deputy President think that any sought of dialogue might put them in jeopardy. They fear any discussion because they are saying we can talk but there is no handshake,” Otiende stated.
Moreover, the legislator noted that there seems to be a difference of thought between President William Ruto and his deputy concerning the idea and ambit of any dialogue.
“There is a difference of thought between Ruto and Gachagua on the idea of any dialogue and on the ambit of that dialogue,” Otiende Amollo said.

Likewise, the senior counsel admitted that there are hardliners in both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio who make it difficult for talks to take place.
He claimed that the Kenya Kwanza administration seem to fear any talks directed towards the 2022 elections demanding for Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers to be opened.
“I get the sense that the President’s side is fearful of any talks that take us to 2022, which demands the opening of servers for fear and consequences of the unknown but wants to have a conversation about 2027 for legitimate purposes,” he added.
Azimio is Not Interested in ‘Nusu Mkate’
According to the Rarieda MP, the fear of ‘nusu mkate’ bedeviling Kenya Kwanza regime was also evident in their bipartisan team.

Otiende further noted that Azimio Coalition is not interested in a ‘handshake’ or ‘Nusu Mkate’ with the government.
He quoted Narc Kenya party leader stating that; “As Martha Karua keeps saying, we want the servers to be opened so that we know who won, then if it can be said it’s us, we take the whole loaf and not half.”
