The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Communication Director Philip Etale claimed that President William Ruto flew to Tanzania to apologize to President Samia Suluhu.
In a statement, Etale claimed that the president promised to go in person to apologize to the Tanzanian President for standing her up.
“I am sorry for not being able to meet you as planned. I will come to Dar-es-Salaam or Dodoma or whichever place you will prefer in Tanzania to personally apologize to you for the inconvenience caused,”Etale wrote.
The ODM Communication Director went ahead to add that the message was addressed to Tanzania President Samia Suluhu.
“These are the words to Mama Suluhu before she went back home,” Etale explained.
On Tuesday, July 25 President William Ruto announced his trip to Tanzania. While his spokesperson Hussein Mohamed always announces his itinerary, the head of state did it on Twitter at night.
“I’m off to Tanzania for a human capital meeting to harmonize the expansion of employment opportunities in our continent,” the president’s tweeter account read.
