Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party officials in Alego/Usonga constituency have insisted that they want Siaya Deputy Governor Wiliam Oduol to Resign.
Despite being rescued from impeachment by the Senate, the ODM officials say they do not consider him as one of their members.
Led by ODM party’s Alego/Usonga branch Vice-chairman Thomas Okoth Rondo, the officials said they cannot work with Oduol considering the differences that still exist between him and Governor James Orengo.
Mr. Okoth Rondo noted that as far as they are concerned, the deputy governor had exhibited “total disrespect” to his boss which is why they decided to expel him from the party adding that their position has not yet changed.

While speaking in Siaya town, ODM party’s North Alego Ward chairman Michael Otieno and the branch organizing secretary for the Women League Seline Oyoo asked Mr Oduol to quit his position as Siaya DG due to the sour relationship he has with many people.
According to ODM party’s Alego/Usonga branch Organizing Secretary Paul Jura, Oduol being save from impeachment by Kenya Kwanza Senators even after the 11-member special committee upheld the Siaya County Assembly’s recommendation to have him impeached is a clear indication that he has not been loyal.
He added that ODM has disowned the Siaya DG and shall no longer count him as one of them because he has chosen to serve the interests of their opponents.
Paul Jura further advised Governor Orengo to consider assigning someone else the duties meant for his deputy.
