A new artificial intelligence platform has been launched that allows users to engage in real-time conversations with an AI-generated version of Jesus at a fee.
The service operates on a pay-per-minute model and has quickly gone viral across social media, triggering debate about the commercialization of faith and the growing role of AI in personal and spiritual interactions.
The platform is part of a broader trend in AI companion technologies that simulate human-like conversations via voice and text interfaces.
It features celebrities, businesspeople, health experts, and the recent addition of AI Jesus is the latest development, where a user can log in and talk to a person of interest.
Features of the New AI Generated Jesus
The new platform, called Just Like Me, is an AI, character-based communication system where users can interact with various digital personas.
Among these is an AI-generated version of Jesus, which responds to user prompts in a conversational tone that mimics religious and philosophical guidance.

The version offers words of prayer and encouragement in different languages and also has a chat history.
According to the service’s descriptions, the system is trained on large-language data assets, including religious texts and publicly available theological content, to generate responses that simulate spiritual dialogue.
The platform does not claim religious authority but instead presents the AI as an interactive character intended to provide supportive, reflective conversation.
Users can access the service through an online interface, where they select characters and initiate voice- or video-style interactions, depending on their subscription level.
According to Just Like Me Company CEO Chris Breed, the model is trained on the King James Bible and understands scripture and sermons from various preachers.
The avatar on the app is Jesus Christ, based on actor Jonathon Roumie’s portrayal of Jesus in the TV show.
Pricing Structure of Just Like Me Platform
The service operates on a pay-per-minute pricing model, with reports indicating that users are charged $1.99 per minute for interactions with the AI Jesus character.
The platform also offers a $49.99 package that includes 45 minutes of conversation with an AI-generated Jesus per month.
This places it among premium-tier AI services, compared to standard chatbot platforms that rely on monthly subscriptions or free usage tiers.
New users are offered limited introductory access before being required to pay for continued use.

Public Reaction and Ethical Concerns
The introduction of an AI-generated religious figure has sparked mixed reactions online. Some users have expressed curiosity, viewing it as an innovative way to explore spirituality through technology.
Others have raised concerns about the appropriateness of monetizing religious interactions and the potential for emotional dependence on AI systems.
“Isn’t that called idolatry? You talking to a man-made Simulation that records your data. Keep your spiritual connections in your heart not give it out to companies who wanna monetize your desperations,” said Hannibal on X.
Supporters of AI development argue that such platforms are clearly understood to be artificial systems and serve as tools for reflection rather than as replacements for faith practices.
