Ukraine has released a report detailing Russian military deaths in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, which began on February 24, 2022.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of November 11, 2025, approximately 1,153,180 Russian personnel have been killed in the conflict.

The report outlines losses incurred since the start of the full-scale invasion and stresses the substantial equipment losses sustained by Russian forces.

Ukrainian forces have reportedly destroyed over 11,000 tanks, around 23,000 armored combat vehicles, and more than 34,000 artillery systems.

The losses of Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) have reached 1,539, with an increase of 1. In the air, 428 aircraft and 347 helicopters have been destroyed.

Additionally, the number of downed Operational-Tactical UAVs (drones) is notably high at 79,642, with a daily loss rate of 217.

The total number of intercepted or destroyed cruise missiles stands at 3,926, while losses of air defense systems amount to 1,239.

Regarding naval and logistical assets, ship and boat losses total 28, along with 1 submarine.

The logistics chain of the Russian army has been severely affected, with 67,036 units of automotive and fuel tanks destroyed (an increase of 79) and 3,993 units of special equipment lost.

This announcement from the General Staff comes amid renewed efforts to initiate talks for a potential ceasefire between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

On Monday, November 10, 2025, the Kremlin expressed its desire for the war to end as soon as possible, although negotiations have reportedly stalled. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov attributed this stalemate to Ukraine’s allies encouraging Kyiv to pursue a military victory.

“There is currently a pause; the situation is stalled. This is not our fault,” said Peskov.

Russia has consistently maintained that any resolution must meet its initial military objectives and account for its interests, which Ukraine and its allies view as maximalist demands.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated that he does not believe Putin is genuinely seeking peace, asserting that the Russian leader seems to be preparing for new offensive operations rather than a ceasefire.

Trump Says He Overestimated Putin

Efforts by US President Donald Trump to arrange a face-to-face summit between Putin and Zelenskyy have not been successful, and plans for a potential meeting in Budapest remain on hold.

On October 29, US President Donald Trump admitted that he overestimated his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking at a press conference, Trump stated that while he has successfully resolved eight international conflicts since taking office, the Russia-Ukraine war remains unresolved due to his misjudgment of his influence over Putin.

“We’ve resolved eight conflicts. The only one that hasn’t been resolved yet is Russia and Ukraine. But that, too, will be done. Absolutely. I thought that would be the easiest thing to do because of my warm relationship with President Putin. It turns out it’s not that simple,” Trump said.
