Stephen Ochieng’ Nyandiare, Chairman of Dexis Group of Companies, is set to be honored with the Special African Business Leadership Impact Award at the 15th African Business Leadership Awards.
This prestigious award, presented by the African Leadership Magazine, will be bestowed upon him during the 15th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), taking place from July 9 to July 10, 2025, at the Landmark Hotel and the House of Lords in London, United Kingdom.
Stephen will be celebrated with the award due to his leadership role and his journey towards socio-economic transformation.
The Chairman of Dexis Group of Companies will not only receive the award but also be inducted into the African Leadership Council (ALC)—a revered assembly of Africa’s most influential business leaders, policymakers, and changemakers. This recognition will position him among the continent’s leading champions of innovation, progress, and economic growth.
The Journey of Stephen Ochieng’
Stephen Ochieng’ was raised in the informal settlements of Kisumu. His public service career began when he served as the first President and Representative of Kenyan Youth in the office of then Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. He later participated in international programs such as the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), launched by former U.S. President Barack Obama.

Ochieng’ leads Dexis Investments Holdings Limited and Dexis Capital Group, companies involved in investment and financial services across Africa and the UAE. His work includes mobilizing capital for regional projects and advising governments on economic and governance reforms.
In addition to his business interests, he is involved in philanthropic initiatives. He serves as Chairman of Mama Ngina Children’s Home and holds board positions with organizations such as KEFEADO and the Samburu Girls Foundation, which focus on child protection, gender equity, and education.
