TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC has announced changes to its board of directors, effective September 1, 2025.
In a notice on September 2, TotalEnergies Kenya announced that Biova Agbokou has been appointed as the new director and chairperson of the board.
Agbokou holds a Master of Science in Operations Research and Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Engineering from CentraleSupélec in France.
She brings extensive experience from her career at TotalEnergies, having held senior roles such as LPG Vice President for TotalEnergies Marketing & Services in Paris, lead negotiator for new ventures and asset management, Deputy Managing Director for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline project in Kampala, and Managing Director and Country Chair in Madagascar.
She has also worked as regional director in Bordeaux, France, and as HSEQ director for TotalEnergies Guinea Equatorial.
The company praised Agbokou’s leadership and strategic expertise.
The board also expressed gratitude to outgoing chairperson Ms. Elodie Luce for her dedication and leadership during her tenure and wished her success in her new assignment within the TotalEnergies Group.

Profile of Biova Agbokou
Biova Agbokou has built a career that spans continents, different industries, and leadership roles, rising through the ranks of TotalEnergies to become one of the company’s top executives.
She serves as Vice President of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), a role she assumed in 2024 at the multinational’s headquarters in Paris La Défense.

After earning a master’s degree in operations research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec in Paris, she began her career at Total in 2004 as an IT project manager focused on environmental, health, and safety systems.
Within three years, she was coordinating operations at the company’s largest oil terminal in France.
In Equatorial Guinea, she directed company operations, overseeing six storage facilities, logistics, and the execution of major projects.
Later, as managing director and country chair in Madagascar, she represented Total at the highest level, before moving to Uganda as deputy managing director of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), where she helped establish a cross-border energy entity.
In 2022, Agbokou returned to Paris to lead negotiations for acquisitions and divestments in TotalEnergies’ exploration and production portfolio.

That experience set the stage for her current position in LPG, where she is tasked with steering a critical segment of the company’s business amid shifting global energy demands.
