The government has announced 8,972 overseas job opportunities for Kenyan youths, targeting various roles including bodaboda riders and drivers.
Ministry of Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua confirmed that the Kazi Majuu recruitment is targeting youth from Kenya’s Western region.
According to Mutua, the vacancies are spread across key destinations including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates, with contracts ranging from one to three years.
“The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, in collaboration with accredited recruitment agencies, is pleased to announce 8,972 overseas job vacancies,” Confirmed Alfred Mutua.

Available jobs include:
- 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 & 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢-𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝- Construction Helpers, Steel Fixers, Shuttering Carpenters, Masons, Scaffolders, Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, General Labourers.

𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬- Heavy/Light Vehicle Drivers, Motorcycle Riders, Family & House Drivers, Dump Truck Drivers, Airport Drivers.
𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞- House Nurses, Nurse Maids, Nurses, Caregivers.
𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞- Waiters/Waitresses, Baristas, Kitchen Helpers, Kitchen Stewards, Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Hotel Room Attendants, Cleaners, Beauticians/Hairdressers.
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 (𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧)- HR Managers, IT Technicians, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Receptionists, Sales Executives, Teachers, Accountants, Auditors.
Other jobs include Factory Workers, Security Guards, Helpers/Porters, and Lifeguards.
Requirements
Applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged 21 to 45, possess a valid passport, and have no criminal record.
Relevant academic or professional certificates are required depending on the role, while bodaboda riders and drivers must present a valid driving licence and at least two years of experience.
“Bring with you: National ID, school certificates, passport (or proof of passport application), passport photos, and any academic or work documents,” the statement emphasised.
Basic proficiency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of an additional foreign language is an added advantage.

In his statement, Mutua warned job seekers to avoid unauthorised brokers and instead follow official government procedures.
“We are prioritising transparency to protect Kenyans from exploitation,” Mutua emphasised.
