The Boma Hotels in Kenya operates three hotels, including The Boma Nairobi, Boma Inn Nairobi, and Boma Inn Eldoret. The Kenya Red Cross (KRCS) fully owns the Hotels through the Red Court Hotel.
In 2021, Dubai-based Aleph Hospitality took over the management of these hotels under a contract aimed at revitalizing their operations.
Aleph Hospitality pledged to donate a portion of its management fees to support KRCS’s humanitarian initiatives.
Bani Haddad, Founder and Managing Director of Aleph Hospitality, said the institution was ready to work with the Kenya Red Cross to develop the Hotels.
“We are delighted to take over the management of the three Boma hotels in a deal that further strengthens our presence in Kenya,” Haddad said.
“We are committed to working with the owners to turn around the fortunes of these wonderful hotels and proud to support local humanitarian projects being run by the owner through the Kenya Red Cross.”
Dr. Abbas Gullet, Founder and Chairman of Red Court Hotel and former Secretary General of Kenya Red Cross, also endorsed the takeover.
He agreed to work with a professional hotel management company that understands both the global hotel business and the local hospitality market.
All profits from Boma Nairobi, Boma Inn Nairobi and Boma Inn Eldoret fund the Kenya Red Cross Society.
