Everett Aviation, through the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), has announced job opportunities for helicopter pilots and engineers to join its expanding operations, specifically for the BK117C2 aircraft type.
In a notice published on November 6, the company invited qualified applicants to submit their credentials.
The advertisement outlined detailed requirements for helicopter pilots, separating qualifications for Commanders and First Officers.
For Commanders, the company requires applicants to hold an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), a current type rating, and a current instrument rating.
Requirements for KCAA Pilots
Candidates must have logged “3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours in command, 1,250 hours PIC multi-engine, 500 hours on aircraft of similar complexity, and 100 hours PIC on type.”

All hours requirements must be on helicopters.
The notice added that BK117C2 Commanders should ideally have a minimum of 50 hours of NVIS time, referring to Night Vision Imaging System experience, which is important for night operations and missions under low-visibility conditions.
For First Officers, the company is seeking applicants with a Commercial Pilot License (Helicopter) and a current instrument rating.
They must have a total of 500 hours, 500 hours of multi-engine time, 100 hours of command time, and 50 hours of type rating time, all of which must be on helicopters.
Everett Aviation noted that “BK117C2 First Officers should also ideally have a minimum of 10 hours NVIS time.”
Requirements for Engineers
Everett is also recruiting helicopter engineers. For type-rated engineers, the company requires candidates with type ratings on BK117C2 plus Arriel 1 engines, with preference given to those with 3–5 years demonstrable experience on type.

For licensed engineers, Everett stated its focus on development and training.
“As part of our training and development, candidates with KCAA licences and ratings on other helicopter types plus 2–5 years’ experience will be considered,” the notice read.
