Dorea Chege, born on January 3, 1993, in Membly, Ruiru, is the firstborn in a family of three.

She grew up in a deeply religious household, with both her parents serving as pastors, a background that shaped her values and discipline.

Today, she has become a household name in Kenya’s film and entertainment industry, admired for her versatility as an actress, entrepreneur, and influencer.

Education and Early Life

Dorea started her elementary studies at Mwarano Primary School but completed her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) at Kahawa Baptist Primary.

She later joined a high school in Limuru, after which she pursued a diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication at the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS).

Her professional journey began at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), where she worked as an intern and later as a volunteer.

However, her passion for acting soon took center stage, setting her on a new path in the entertainment world.

Dorea’s Career

Beatrice Dorea Chege began her acting career in 2001, with her first notable role in the television series Mama Santare.

She later appeared in Wonders of Love on Inooro TV before landing her breakout role as Maggie in the popular Citizen TV drama Maria.

The series catapulted her into the limelight, establishing her as one of Kenya’s most promising talents.

She has also starred in Pink Ladies on Rembo TV, alongside well-known actors such as Azziad Nasenya, Shix Kapienga, and Pascal Tokodi.

In addition, she had a role in the award-winning telenovela Selina, further cementing her place in Kenya’s film industry.

Currently, Dorea is captivating audiences with her role as Naomi in Neema on Citizen TV, where she replaced Beatrice Wambui.

Her performance has been praised for its emotional depth and authenticity, proving her range and growth as an actress.

Beyond acting, she is also a content creator on YouTube, where she shares lifestyle and parenting content, allowing her fans to connect with her on a more personal level.

Away from the screen, Dorea has ventured into business as the CEO of Dorea’s Parlour, a thriving beauty brand.

Her entrepreneurial journey has positioned her as a role model for young women seeking to balance creativity, business, and family life.

Personal Life

Dorea is engaged to DJ Dibul, a renowned Kenyan entertainer, and together they have a daughter, Tipharah Meleah Wanjiku.
