Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has stated that retired president Uhuru Kenyatta will not react to political and personal attacks by some leaders in government.
While speaking during an interview with Capital on Tuesday, February 21, the Jubilee party secretary general stated that Uhuru Kenyatta has decided to stay silent even as the tax evasion debate putting their family business empire is in the spotlight.
Moreover, Kioni clarified that Kenyatta is keen on seeing the Kenya Kwanza administration serve Kenyans and deliver on their campaign promises.

“If he was to become vocal, he would be interfering with the management of the affairs of those in power today. He has his followers and If he was to move around agitating for an issue it would be destabilizing to the country,” Kioni stated.
Nonetheless, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over the weekend warned the retired head of state against participating in the weekly people consultation forums organized by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
