An aircraft ferrying nine officers from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and a police officer has crashed in Kiunga in Lamu County.
Videos of the crash scene show the helicopter ablaze and in pieces from the impact as some of the debris fell over a homestead.
The Accident occurred on Sunday, December 17, evening.
The plane, carrying ten people including two pilots, seven army officers, and one police officer, was ascending from the Kiunga airstrip when it collided with electricity poles and crashed.
However, all the officers on board are reported to have survived the crash and have been rushed to hospital for treatment.

Details of the Accident
Firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the fire despite the persistent burning of the debris in the thicket.
The aircraft, a 5Y-GOK Cesna 208, is reported to have taken off from Kiunga last week in order to transport Kibaoni students who had performed exceptionally in the KCPE exams to Nairobi.
Additionally, on Sunday, it returned the pupils safely.
Notably, by the time this article was published, the Kenya Defence Forces had not revealed the cause of the accident.

Recent KDF Crashes
Earlier on November 20, aKenya Army chopper crashed during takeoff at Wajir Airport leaving two injured.
The injured were immediately taken to Wajir County Referral Hospital where they were referred to Nairobi for specialised treatment. At the time, they were in a stable condition.
A crowd that had gathered to watch the takeoff was shocked when the aircraft, which had been rising, crashed into a cloud of dust in a 31-second video that captured the incident.
Witnesses claimed that the helicopter, which was bringing food to Buna Town, Wajir North, flood-affected families, sustained significant damage.
“The scene was visited by Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), KDF and police officers.
“It was documented by scenes of crime personnel and then cordoned off awaiting air accident investigators,” police report read in part.
