President William Ruto has taken an early lead in the latest InfoTrak opinion poll ranking presidential contenders ahead of the 2027 General Election, emerging as the most preferred candidate among respondents surveyed.

The InfoTrak study surveyed 3,000 adult Kenyans across all 47 counties between June 22 and June 26, 2026. The poll has a margin of error of ±1.79 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

The poll places Ruto ahead of his potential challengers, with former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, former ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i among the leading figures seeking to challenge him.

The survey examined how supporters of different political parties identify with presidential candidates and the preferred running mate of president William Ruto
