UDA chairman Johnson Muthama has said that President William Ruto will be re-elected unopposed in the 2027 presidential election.
According to Muthama, this will be because of the work he will do for Kenyans.
Muthama claimed that Ruto’s critics will have to wait until 2032 .
“We are out, we are capable and we have what it takes. So those noisemakers tell them to wait. 2032 is when they will be able to talk because Ruto is not going anywhere”.
“The work that this man is going to do in this country, the election is going to be UDA and it will be Ruto unopposed. Mtu atakuwa anaangalia anasema ni Ruto tu wacha hio,” Muthama said.
At the same time, Muthama has told off the President’s critics, saying that it was too soon for them to start complaining that Ruto had failed on his campaign promises.
He challenged the opposition to give the President time to put his house in order.
“These people are just hyper for nothing, they just feel restless and they want to tell Kenyans Ruto is failing, he’s not doing what he said but in how many days and with who? Because they expected him to move there and start sacking people.”
Muthama added that Ruto needs time to form his government and lay down strategies and adopt the tactics of implementing the same strategies before Kenyans can feel the change.
“Let’s face the truth, Ruto was sworn in about three weeks ago. He’s yet to swear in his ministers. He’s yet to swear in his principal secretaries. He is yet to cover all departments with the choice of people he wants to work with,” he said.
